Today, as you probably know, we're celebrating 20 years the Berlin Wall has fallen.
In tribute to the day, we compiled 5 great movies to remember and know more about the comunist regimes and what they did to people.
1. Good bye, Lenin - comedy. Son tries to recreate pre-wall Berlin for a mother who's just waking from a 10 year coma.
2. Mrs. Ratcliffe's Revolution - Brit comedy. Family goes to Oriental Germany for idealistic reasons, and tries to fly for "reality" reasons.
3. East/West - it's actually about the Soviet Union, and is the favorite movie of all time of a great friend of mine who fled the Soviet Union when she was 13. Drama, with Catherine Deneuve.
4. 1984, the movie - based on the George Orwell novel. Life under a totalitarian "Big Brother".
5. Guantanamera (1995) - satire about the life in Cuba. Because there's walls that haven't yet fallen. Here, in America.
